The Forgotten ones.

Who we areā€¦

The Deleon Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue organization located in Los Angeles, CA. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming sick, injured, abandoned, and forgotten dogs and cats. Our mission extends to providing care for cats that have been abused, neglected, and require costly, life-saving medical treatment.

Many of the animals we save suffer from severe conditions such as skin cancer, FIP, HIV, and Calicivirus. We also care for dogs with pneumonia, parvo, severe skin infections, and those that have been hit by cars or left to fend for themselves. Our efforts include rescuing moms and puppies abandoned by their former owners.

Every animal that comes under our care is given a second chance at life through the Deleon Foundation. Your compassion and support make our mission possible, and for that, we are deeply grateful.

Each year, approximately 920,000 shelter animals are euthanized (390,000 dogs and 530,000 cats). The number of dogs and cats euthanized in U.S. shelters annually has declined from approximately 2.6 million in 2011.  This decline can be partially explained by an increase in the percentage of animals adopted and an increase in the number of stray animals successfully returned to their owners.

Animals need our help!
